Cats to Grace the Stage at DC’s National Theatre from January 17th to 22nd

Must read

Many years ago, during my teenage years, my family and I embarked on a visit to London, where we had the pleasure of attending the musical CATS. I was absolutely entranced by the feline-like performances delivered by the actors and actresses, as they gracefully slinked, pounced, pranced, and delivered unforgettable tunes like “Memory.” Recently, I had the opportunity to watch CATS again, this time with my daughter in Los Angeles, and my admiration for the production remained as profound as when I first experienced it. Now, I’m thrilled to announce that CATS is making its way to the National Theatre in Washington, D.C. from January 17 to 22.

Here’s what you need to know about the show, including how to secure discounted tickets for you and your family to attend one of the eight CATS performances at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C.

About CATS:
CATS recounts the tale of one magical evening when an extraordinary tribe of cats assembles for their annual ball, a night of celebration and the pivotal moment for selecting the cat to be reborn. This beloved musical showcases the breathtaking compositions of Andrew Lloyd Webber, including “Memory,” a cherished gem in the world of musical theater.

CATS has enchanted audiences in over 30 countries and 15 languages, setting records along the way. It boasts an impressive 7 Tony Awards®, including the accolade for Best Musical.

The production features an original score by Andrew Lloyd Webber (renowned for works like The Phantom of the Opera, School of Rock, and Sunset Boulevard), along with original scenic and costume design by John Napier (famed for Les Misérables), innovative lighting design by Natasha Katz (of Aladdin fame), exceptional sound design by Mick Potter, fresh choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler (the genius behind Hamilton), inspired by the original choreography by Gillian Lynne (known for Phantom). The direction is helmed by Trevor Nunn (noted for Les Misérables), making this rendition of CATS a refreshing experience for a new generation. It’s a show that promises to be enjoyable for all age groups.

CATS has a runtime of about 2 hours and 20 minutes, including an intermission.

CATS is set to premiere next Tuesday, January 17th, and will grace the stage at the National Theatre until Sunday, January 22nd, with a total of eight performances. The showtimes are as follows:
